Need to keep that beast on your face tame, but not sure which beard oil scent will fit you best? This is your way to try a few to find the one for you.

All of our beard oils are all natural all the time. There are no fragrance oils or synthetic chemicals used in any of them. The scent comes from  a carefully concocted mixture of natural and organic essential oils that provide benefits as well as handsome aromas.

The base of the beard oil also has carefully-chosen base oils, organic jojoba oil, sweet almond oil, avocado oil, and argan oil, that are known for helping encourage fuller growth, while moisturizing both the beard and the skin underneath. That skin underneath all of the hair gets neglected sometimes, but these oils are made so as to keep it soft and prevent irritation by soothing any dryness.

Comes in 2 dram, 1/4 oz vials in a hinged tin box.

Give any 3 of the Whiskey, Ink, & Lace signature scents a try to see which bottle you’d like to commit to.

Got my sample pack in from +Whiskey, Ink, & Lace ! Fist off, I want to say that she put some serious love into the packaging! I was expecting a padded envelope but these were put into a nicely packed box. Each envelope had a description of the oil hand tied to them. The choice of brown craft paper was also a smart one.

    Now, on to the oils.
The Cowboy! A clean musky scent. Reminds me of freshly cut, green wood, or when you go into the lumber department of a Home Depot. You have the mingling scents of wood and dust with a hint of almond under it all.
The Lumberjack! The least potent smell of the three. It reminds me of camping. That first breath of fresh air in the middle of the woods. One of my favorite smells out there.
The Sojourner! Described as pine scotch, eucalyptus and mint. Definitely spot on. Just as potent in smell as The Cowboy. It’s scents evoke a fresh clean straight from the shower.

My personal favorite so far without actually using them yet, The Lumberjack. I’m not too into heavy scents, but I also don’t know how potent they will stay throughout the day. They may change a bit with time as well. I also need to try out her other scents before I make a complete decision. But I have enough oil right now to keep me happy for a bit. ^_~

So I’ve been using my Beard Oil Sampler from +Whiskey, Ink, & Lace for a little over a week now, and I must say: I’m a big fan of this stuff.

If you’ve been around in my circles long enough you know I care about what I smell like. You’ve followed me through my d-bag days of Axe, and into my too-expensive cologne days. Nothing really fit me.

I care about what I smell like because I’m a business owner who is “the face” of my business. I’m the one out in meetings, my face and my beard are a big part of my business, as much as I’d prefer they not be. I’m working on that. In the meantime, it is what it is.

I also care about my beard. I shave my head because I’d have a horseshoe if I didn’t, and the bearded-and-bald look works for me. For my beard, when I let it grow there comes a point where it just gets crazy. At times I look disheveled. And if you’re bearded, you know all about “bed beard.” It’s a thing.

So when I learned about beard oil here on G+ I wanted to give it a try, however I’m a stickler for fragrances – very picky. When they launched a sampler, that was my ticket.

    I chose:
    » The Lumberjack
    » The Gent
    » The Cowboy

So far I’m only using The Lumberjack, and I am hooked on this product. Some of the things I appreciate about this product:

» My beard is not “oily” when I use this; it is soft and pleasant to touch, which is important because I carry my 4 month old daughter around a lot. She used to get a rash from my beard rubbing her head and shoulders, but not so since using this beard oil.

» The fragrance is really nice! It’s woodsy, natural, and not too strong. My wife paid the scent a compliment so x-rated I shan’t share it on G+. Let’s just say she really likes the way I smell.

» The other fragrances smell really nice, and I’m looking forward to using them. So far, though, it’s going to take a lot to get me off The Lumberjack.

» My beard is red, and my wife says the red is extra bright when using the beard oil. Whatevs.

» Lay down all the hairs! Seriously. Who among The Bearded enjoys one million hairs gone astray?! With beard oil, all the hairs are obedient laying where I want them to lay.

    Bottom Line:
If you’re a bearded man, give this a shot.

There are many kinds of men in this world, all the good ones have beards. There is a certain universal manly quality that transcends any particular expression of “man” and Whiskey, Ink & Lace has found a way to let your beard revel in it. This set of oil samples can instantly add manliness to your life in whatever styles pique your interest. Whether you prefer the bracing chill of the forest mixed with the sound of trees being felled, or playing poker on a French cargo ship set for a Moroccan spice run, they have a scent that fits. The life of a mysterious jetsetting playboy or a stranger with intriguing scars is no longer completely out of your reach. It’s only a few drops of beard oil away. Thanks to Whiskey, Ink & Lace, even if you can’t be a real man, you can at least smell like one.

I’ve ordered (before I spotted the other tester pack with every scent) 9 oils through this and have loved them all. I find that you have to wipe the edge of the bottle against something, like your hand or a towel, or else they dribble down onto the label, which can make it lose its stick so be weary of that. Not to big of an issue, obviously, but its much harder to open them when the label doesnt grip.

The oils are top quality and they feel and smell amazing on.

What are the most popular scents?

    • :

      Hey there Mark,
The Lumberjack, The Viking, and The Gent tend to be everyone’s favorites! And those three give a good sampling of a variety of scent types. The Lumberjack is nice and neutral, so everyone loves it. The Viking is deep and more cologne-like. The Gent is a bright, stronger scent. Also, The Connoisseur is another great scent if you’re a coffee fan.

They’re all good, but those are our most popular!
      Cheers,
      Andi
